Looking Ahead

Get a preview of next year’s problems! Synopses are available at http://www.odysseyofthemind.com/materials/2016problems.php.  It will be several months before the full long-term problem statements are released, but these will give you an idea of what to expect this fall.

Next year’s tournament registration has been set to $85.00. There will be no early registration discount, but if there are financial issues please contact our school coordinator liaison or Regional Director.

Some of our current board members are moving out of the area, so we have a few spots to fill.  We are also looking for a future Regional Director.  If you would like to discuss your possible interest in serving on the board in some capacity, please contact our Regional Director.

Congratulations to Winners at States

Nova North had an excellent showing at the State Tournament on April 18!  Seven of our teams were first and second place winners and will go on to World Finals.

 

Runaway ‘Train’ :

Division 1 – 2nd place for Westbriar Elementary

Division 2 – 1st place for Fox Mill Elementary

 

Experiencing Technical Difficulties:

Division 1 – 3rd place for Louise Archer Elementary

Division 2 – 2nd place for Rachel Carson Middle School Team A

 

Pandora’s Box:

Division 1 – 2nd place for Belvedere Elementary; 4th place for Hunters Woods Elementary Team B; 5th place for Hunters Woods Team A

Division 2 – 1st place for Rachel Carson Middle School Team A; 4th place for Luther Jackson Middle School

Division 3 – 2nd place for Oakton High School

An OMER award was given to Neil Kothari of Rachel Carson Middle School.
