In addition,  an OMer award was given to Langston Hughes MS:

The team from Langston Hughes Middle School presented a solution as a complete package with a surreal underwater environment, stunning props and costumes made from recycled products, and extraordinary stage poise and acting—all of which came together to articulate an important message for us all. When a young girl vacations in a polluted beach town, she laments the trash and suffering from careless human waste. But after she is whisked away into an underwater circus world, complete with sounds from marine trash and a working pinball machine, she—and the judges—recognize the importance of protecting the incredible beauty of the natural world while we still can. The judges assessed an incredible amount of teamwork was necessary to plan and execute every single element of this performance with close attention to detail and with charisma. Their solution not only solved the problem: It overflowed with jaw-dropping artistry—and an important message, in the words of the team’s young character, to “reduce, reuse and recycle.”
