Congratulations to all of the teams that competed at our 2023 NOVA North/NOVA South Tournament! The final results for Region 12 can be seen here and for Region 9 can be seen here. All first-place teams are invited to compete at the Virginia State Tournament in April.
We also presented a special award at the Closing Ceremonies. The judges for the Primary Problem Dinos on Parade recognize the team from Wolftrap Elementary School with an OMER Award for their sportsmanship and kindness. A team member worked hard to learn how to blow up and tie a balloon that was to represent the moon in their outer space Dinosaur adventure. Unfortunately, one of the judges accidentally bumped into the balloon while checking them in for their performance and her tail popped the balloon. The team did not have another balloon to replace the one that popped. All of the team members told the judge not to worry and that it was OK. They showed grace and extended forgiveness. The judges appreciate this team’s kindness and sportsmanship.
