This training is for any coach who wants to learn about or improve coaching skills. Attendance is limited to 100 due to seating capacity.
The cost is $30 for everyone, including coordinators; proceeds will cover training expenses for coaches and judges. Everyone must register and pay in advance. Since The MITRE Corporation® is a secure facility; no walk-ins are allowed.
8:30-9:00: Sign in
11:30-12:00: Lunch – Please bring your own.
12:00-1:45: Basic Coaching Skills
2:00-4:00: Coaching Spontaneous
Coaches and coordinators from any Odyssey region are welcome to attend. This training is not specific to NoVA North Region 9.
Registration is now closed.
When coaches arrive in the MITRE 2 lobby, they will check in with the security guard at the desk and be given a Visitor badge. To receive a badge, the name needs to be on the registration list. Security will check IDs (e.g., driver’s licenses), and if the name is not on the list, the guards will not issue a badge and the person will need to leave the facilities.
